General Information

Innovative, High Performance Products for New Construction, Restoration and Repairs.

High early Strength.
Long-term performance.
Fast and durable shotcrete applications.

HTF Shotcrete is a fast-setting, fiber-reinforced and easy-to-use shotcrete formulation that sets fast without an accelerator. It can be applied anywhere conventional dry-processed shotcrete is used. Ideal for mining and tunneling environments when fast-strength gain and long-term durability are desired.

Instructions for Manual Application

Surface Preparation:
Where bonding is important, the adjacent surfaces shall be clean, sound and free from any materials that may inhibit bond such as oil, asphalt, curing compounds, acids, dirt and loose debris. Roughen surfaces and remove all unsound concrete. Immediately prior to placement the repair surface shall be thoroughly saturated with no standing water.

Mixing:
The use of a power drill is recommended. Organize work so that all personnel and equipment are in place before mixing. Use clean Potable water. HyperX Supercrete may be mixed using one gallon of water for a 60lb bag of material. Use less water to achieve higher strengths. Working time is approximately 15-20 minutes.

Placement:
HyperX Supercrete may be placed using traditional methods. Organize work so that personnel and equipment are ready before placement. HyperX Supercrete may be troweled, floated or broom finished.

Temperature:
Warm environmental and materials temperatures will reduce the working time of CONCRETE MIX. To compensate for warm temperatures, keep material cool and use chilled mix water.

Typical work time is 15-20 minutes.

HyperX Supercrete is normally applied using dry-process shotcrete machinery. Dry-process shotcrete is a very efficient method for making repairs to horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces. The process allows for the placement of the repair material at a very low water/cement ratio with a high degree of compaction. The result is a repair that is superior to other methods of placement of repair material.

HyperX Supercrete is designed as a structural repair material for bridges, tunnels, parking garages, ramps, beams, piers, sewer pipes and dams. They can be used for structural concrete in vertical, horizontal, and overhead surfaces.

Fire & Explosion Haard Data/Health Hazard Data

The performance of the dry process shotcrete method cannot be duplicated in the laboratory. With that in mind, laboratory testing data are important for quality control purposes and for making comparisons between formulations. HyperX Super-Crete products have been extensively tested both in the laboratory and in the field. The enhanced performance in the field is demonstrated through the dry shotcrete process providing the benefits of low water/cement ratio and high compaction. The quality of dry process shotcrete is very dependent on the skills of the shotcrete operator.

Warranty

HyperX Super-Crete warrants its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship. HyperX Super-Crete will replace any product proved to be defective when applied in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. HyperX Super-Crete obligation shall be limited solely to such replacement. There are no other warranties by HyperX Super-Crete expressed or implied.
